Walking and Cycling
There are some wonderful walks and cycle rides in our region with woodland, lakes and some surprising history.
You’ll find lots of leaflets in La Porcherie detailing some of these, but there’s also a fantastic app, Loopi, which will guide you through a huge array of walks using GPS.
You can download it here for iPhone, or here for Android and we thoroughly recommend it.
Bike Hire
Don’t have your own bikes? Don’t worry, you can arrange bike hire directly, or ask us to arrange it for you. Your bike can be delivered to La Porcherie, ready for when you need it and collected again at the end of your rental.

Horse Riding
If you have ridden at least once before, we can usually arrange a trek from a local stables situated 15 minutes away. Your ride will take you through the forest of Boubon.
Please note that Natacha, the proprietor does not speak English. However, with sufficient notice, and subject to availability, Rod may be able to accompany you on your ride.

Lakes
Swimming is possible at our local lake in the summer months, and there is also pedalo hire and a beach volleyball court there. For more facilities, we also recommend Saint Estephe. (The walk around the lake at Saint Estephe includes a floating bridge you must pull across the water on its line yourself, which is great fun!)
